Welcome to my French stone house, a fully restored 17th century farm house, in the lush green foot hills of the Midi Pyrenees situated at 1800 feet.  It is located in a rural farming community hamlet, near the village of Teyssieu in the department of Lot, south west of Paris, above Toulouse and one hour south of Brive.  It is only 20 minutes away from many tourist sites.

You can right out the door for a walk in the country or quickly find one of the grand randonee hiking trails. It is a comfortable home to relax in after a day of hiking, canoeing on the Dordonge river, visiting chateaux, exploring caves, antique shopping or visiting one of the many beautiful villages near by. Truly something for everyone.

You will step back in time when you stay in my French house yet the home has all of the quality conveniences of modern times. The house has been restored to show all the old world charm of stone and plaster walls, exposed oak beams, original oak plank floors, complete with a soullard (original kitchen nook) and a cantou (fireplace). My house is made of granite walls with a rare stone roof of lauze. The house holds the coolness of the stones in the summer and the warmth of the fireplace in the winter. When you enter the house you see the large great room combined with the dining room, then the kitchen, the master bedroom and water closet. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.               You may rent all 4 bedrooms with 3.5 baths or the 3 bedrooms upstairs with 2.5 baths. There is a separate entrance to the master bath and the master bedroom. The Stone Farm House is fully furnished with linens. The house is built over above ground cellars. At ground level there is a laundry room with washer and dryer.
Outside is a table and chairs for alfresco dining. There is an herb garden, roses and old grape vines surround the house. Next to the house is the barn, yet to be restored into a large art workshop/studio. In front of the house is a well. We have very good water piped in from another village.
You will be warmly greeted by the owner who will be nearby to help guide you on what to do each

day and assist in making any reservations necessary, speaking English or French.
